Trappers and traders were the first to open up the West to settlement.  They were the ones who courageously and originally established trust and a rapport with the various Native American tribes abiding on the land where we now reside.  They were a unique breed of men and their legacy lives on today through those who carry on in their stout-hearted, bold and adventurous traditions.
